About

As it says on the sidebar, the purpose of this blog is to provide a glimpse into the life of an academic-in-formation, and especially to share my struggles to see God's gracious providence at work in my developing vocation and beyond.

I started A Wonderful Providence in June, 2011, as a way to inform my family and friends of what's going on in my academic life and beyond. While many of my posts have to do with my graduate work, I sometimes review books, or sort through faith-related questions or challenges that I've been thinking about. (I am a member of a congregation in the Presbyterian Church in America.)

If you're interested in the academic stuff, you might explore the entries that have been tagged accordingly. My inaugural series of posts describes how I came to my vocation:

Somewhat to my surprise, however, the most popular post on the blog remains this one. :-)

Thank you so much for stopping by!
